SECTION 10: APPEALS OF FACULTY PERSONNEL COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS

The dean for academic affairs has the responsibility of conveying the reasons for a negative recommendation of the committee. 

As outlined in Part III Sections 4, 5, 6, and 8, a faculty member has the right to appeal FPC recommendations to the Faculty Grievance Committee.

The faculty member also has the right to appeal to the president of the college who may, in exceptional cases and in the light of certain started questions, ask the committee to restudy and reassess the case and subsequently to report its recommendations.  Ultimately, the decision of the president to support or overturn the Faculty Personnel Committee recommendation is final.
