BIOL 135 - Biostatistics This course is an introduction to the basic statistical concepts and methods used to analyze and interpret biological and ecological data. Students gain and apply skills in a range of topics to include the following: descriptive statistics, probability, inferential statistics (estimation and hypothesis testing), confidence intervals, analysis of variance, regression, correlation, as well as basic study design and interpretation of statistical tests from scientific literature.
Credit(s): 4 Prerequisite(s): One of the following: MATH 105 /MATH 105T , MATH 130 /MATH 130T , Math ACT of 22 or higher, Math SAT of 530 or higher General Education Designations: Quantitative Reasoning, Data Analysis
