HIST 106 - Peacemaking and World War I This May Term course focuses on how nations came together in Paris in 1919 to create the peace treaties that would end the First World War. The centerpiece of the class is an historical role-playing simulation where students will engage in negotiations and backroom deals with other students in the course. Students will learn about the factors contributing to the outbreak of WWI as well as the conduct of the war itself in order to contextualize the decisions that they will have to make about how to achieve peace for the country that they will represent at the peace conference.
Credit(s): 4 Offered: only in May Terms.
