CJ 535 - Inequality and Justice This course will introduce the intersection between crime and multiple social constructs such as race/ethnicity, gender, class, and sexual orientation. Students will examine how these areas impact people’s interactions with the criminal justice system as offenders, victims, and employees. Inequalities resulting from criminal justice actors and systems (enforcement, courts, and corrections) towards communities and individuals will be examined. Social change methods will be discussed.
