VPA 250 - Arts Management

This course will provide students with an overview of the “business of the arts.” Students will learn the specifics of running non-profit arts organizations, current issues and trends affecting arts management, and careers available in arts management. Areas covered will include marketing/publicity, fundraising, grant writing, audience development, budgeting, contracts, and board governance. Students will interact with artists and arts management leaders.
