HIST 125 - Frontier Wars This course will introduce students to some of the conflicts that arose between Native Americans and whites during the period of European colonization of North America and American westward expansion. It will also analyze the concept of “frontier” and what it meant to Native Americans, Europeans, Aficans, and Americans. In addition, students will become acquainted with academic historical practice through the use of evidence, argument, and analysis. Finally students will have the opportunity to explore and write about a topic of their choice (as long as it relates to the course material) for individual historical research.
