Pre-law students, in preparation for Law School, should consider one or more of the following majors: Political Science, History, English, Philosophy, Business Managment, Economics, Criminal Justice, or Communications. In addition to their major, the student should register for the Legal Studies minor which is designed for students interested in pursuing law school. The interdisciplinary minor includes a set of courses that emphasize the development of skills, such as strong communication, argumentation, and critical thinking, which are essential in legal analysis. Additional courses focus on exposure to law and legal concepts, including content focused on case law. The chosen set of courses are designed to be consistent with the recommendations from the American Bar Association and the Law School Admission Council.
