EDUC 300 - Reading and Language Arts Education and Practicum (PK through Middle School) Reading and writing instruction in elementary aged children, with emphasis on integrating reading, writing, speaking, and listening, and integration across content areas. Participants will understand the cognitive foundations of reading comprehension and current theory and practice related to literacy and consider how they influence instruction and assessment methods. This includes an emphasis on the interrelationships between reading processes and language learning. Concurrent enrollment in EDUC 326P is required. EDUC 315 must be taken concurrently or after EDUC 300.
